DryRun is a rehearsal app for hard conversations. What you type is about a real colleague, so this policy is written to be read, not to be survived.
There is no account. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
All of it, except what has to be sent to generate a reply. Specifically, these never leave your device:
Deleting the app deletes all of it. Delete everything inside the app does the same thing immediately. There is no cloud backup, no export, and no way for us to recover any of it — including for you.
To make the other person reply in character and to score a run, the app sends our server the description of the counterpart, the situation, and the messages in the current rehearsal. Our server forwards them to the AI provider that generates the reply, and passes the reply back.
We do not store any of it. That content exists only for the seconds it takes to answer the request. It is not written to any database, not logged, and not used to train anything.
Two things, both to stop the service being abused:

The device identifier is a random number generated on your phone. It is not derived from your device's hardware, advertising ID, or anything about you, and it identifies nobody. Your IP address is visible to our server the way it is to every website you visit; we keep only a request count against it, and it expires after 48 hours.
Reminders are scheduled and delivered by your phone itself. Setting one sends nothing to us. You can decline notifications and the app works fine.
If DryRun offers a paid plan, purchases are handled entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
DryRun is for workplace conversations and is not directed at children under 13.
Because everything personal lives on your phone, you exercise most of your rights directly: Delete everything in the app erases it. For the request counts and token held on our server, contact us and we'll delete them; they expire on their own within 180 days regardless.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will be published here before it takes effect.
